Investment Banking Analyst

About the role

MACA Advisors is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its cross‑border M&A advisory team. You will work directly with senior partners on sell‑side, buy‑side and capital‑raise mandates across Latin America and the Caribbean, delivering high‑quality models, presentations and research from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Build, audit and refine financial models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, basic LBO) for multiple live mandates.
• Produce presentations, teasers, CIM sections and research following the firm’s analytical and formatting standards.
• Conduct deal research on buyers, targets, comparable transactions and sector dynamics using FactSet, Bloomberg, PitchBook and Capital IQ.
• Summarize client calls with concise syntheses outlining discussions, changes and next steps.

Required profile

• Strong academic record in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and solid understanding of valuation methodologies.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Responsiveness and habit of raising issues early.
