Junior WordPress Developer

About the role

Green Marketing is a digital marketing agency specializing in websites, SEO, PPC, CRM automation and digital marketing for landscaping businesses. It is looking for a motivated Junior WordPress Developer to build, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize client websites. The role supports the development and ongoing maintenance of multiple WordPress sites and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Build responsive WordPress websites using Divi, WPBakery, Elementor, Gutenberg and similar page builders.
• Maintain and update client websites.
• Troubleshoot plugin, theme, CSS, JavaScript, SSL, DNS, hosting, email, redirect and performance issues.
• Perform website migrations and configure domains, DNS, SSL and hosting.
• Optimize sites for speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO and mobile responsiveness.
• Implement technical SEO updates such as redirects, schema, XML sitemaps and robots.txt.
• Configure Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, GoHighLevel, CRM, SMTP and form integrations.
• Test sites before launch and check compatibility across major browsers and devices.
• Provide clear task updates and work with designers, project managers and senior developers.

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of WordPress development or website maintenance experience; agency experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage several client websites and deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
• Remote work: own computer, stable high-speed internet, webcam, microphone, headset, quiet workspace and access to current browsers.
• Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, available for meetings and support requests.

Required skills

• WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, basic JavaScript and basic PHP.
• Experience with Divi, WPBakery, Elementor, Gutenberg or similar builders.
• DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
