Lead AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

EPAM, a global digital platform engineering leader, is seeking a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to evolve shared AWS cloud platform services. You will treat the platform as a product, delivering reusable building blocks and a consistent developer experience aligned with Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design reusable platform capabilities that enable safe, rapid workload onboarding.
• Build standard compute patterns and golden baselines aligned with CCoE standards.
• Evolve centralized services for logging, monitoring, secrets, identity, file transfers, and key management.
• Define platform APIs and interfaces for consistent adoption by product and application teams.
• Coordinate with Cloud DevOps and automation engineers to implement platform interfaces via IaC and pipelines.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and developer experience through continuous iteration.
• Ensure platform capabilities align with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture guardrails.
• Prioritize platform features and lifecycle investments by representing internal developer teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience with a product/platform mindset.
• Strong leadership skills to influence standards and align stakeholders across teams.
• Proven delivery of shared platform services and reusable building blocks.
• Deep knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and managed services.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code collaboration.
• Solid architecture skills for logging, monitoring, secrets, identity, and centralized integrations.
• Security‑by‑design expertise, including IAM roles, SSO/OAuth, SIEM feeds, and policy‑as‑code.
• Excellent stakeholder communication with a client‑centric mindset.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
