Manager, Legal Contract Transformation (GSINC)

About the role

The Manager, GSINC Legal Template Transformation leads the transformed global contracting within the Global Simplification and Innovation in Contracting (GSINC) program, a global legal organization role reporting to the Director, GSINC Template Transformation. It is an individual contributor position that turns approved legal strategy and risk parameters into scalable, user-centered content, working with Legal, SMEs, contracting teams and business teams to make contracting faster, simpler, more consistent and more valuable.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, consolidate, simplify, draft, validate and approve templates, clauses, fallback positions, playbooks, exhibits and guidance.
• Develop plain-language, user-centered content that keeps critical legal and compliance protections while reducing complexity, negotiation friction and cycle time.
• Promote consistent legal positions and risk treatment, challenge legacy approaches and call out material decisions with clear recommendations.
• Manage localization of globally neutral content, limiting variations to approved legal or operational requirements.
• Drive implementation activities, workshops, validation, testing, deployment readiness and resolution of risks and dependencies.
• Build alignment across Legal, SMEs, contracting and business teams and collaborate with team members and external partners.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor, LL.B. or equivalent, or proven professional contracting experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant legal or contracting experience, including commercial contracting or life sciences.
• Advanced English level.
• Proven experience simplifying, harmonizing, governing or implementing contract templates, clauses, fallback positions or playbooks.
• Ability to balance risk, compliance, business value, market practice and user experience.
