Principal Clinical System Designer

About the role

ICON is seeking a Principal Clinical System Designer to lead the design and implementation of advanced clinical systems for trials in Mexico and Colombia. This remote position supports the creation of high‑quality eCRF specifications and ensures alignment with study protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of clinical systems, consolidating high‑level requirements and managing reviews.
• Create and modify CRFs, develop custom CRF screens, edit checks and dynamic checks using prototyping methodologies.
• Conduct quality‑control peer reviews of database specifications and lead specification review meetings.
• Support CSL in timeline negotiations, assess post‑production changes, and drive database releases.
• Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally as needed.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing clinical systems in the clinical research industry.
• Strong knowledge of at least one Clinical Data Management System (e.g., Medidata Rave, Veeva EDC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the host‑country language.
