Project & Process Engineer

About the role

GEA is seeking a Project & Process Engineer to support the design, engineering, and commissioning of equipment for the nutrition plant engineering (NPE) industry. The role involves coordinating across multiple functions to deliver technical solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Generate pre‑engineering documentation including process dimensioning, production schedules, block diagrams, P&IDs and layout designs that match process, safety and hygiene requirements.
• Dimension and order thermal and mechanical equipment such as pumps, pipes, steam systems, valves and heat exchangers for NPE projects.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, logistics, electrical, automation and process engineering teams to ensure successful manufacturing and installation.
• Analyze project costs, prepare schedules, review existing process engineering, and lead technical design reviews with cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct technical discussions, order clarifications and provide root‑cause analysis for problem resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience on medium‑sized projects in the beverage, dairy or food industry.
• Degree in Chemical, Food, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of engineering calculation and design tools; familiarity with hygiene and sanitation standards such as EHEDG and 3A.
