About the role
The Senior Accountant will join Ethoca Finance within Mastercard's Controllership team in Bogota. This role focuses on billing, revenue recording, and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly revenue accruals, true‑up files, and journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage the monthly billing cycle for issuers and merchants, and produce sales‑tax and ad‑hoc management reports.
- Perform month‑end close activities, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Provide customer service to resolve billing issues and support new customer setup in Salesforce and NetSuite.
- Maintain contract amortization schedules, enforce SOX controls, and participate in audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting procedures.
- Experience in revenue accounting and billing processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
