Senior Architect (Data Centers)

About the role

AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is looking for Senior Architects with experience in, or interest in, data centers to join its Bogotá, Colombia office. The role involves assisting with the planning, design and delivery of architectural projects in an enterprise environment, overseeing multidisciplinary coordination and producing high-level technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design and delivery of architectural projects within an enterprise environment, and oversee multidisciplinary coordination.
• Author high-level technical documentation.
• Work closely with design, engineering and consulting teams across multiple locations, ensuring effective communication and coordination under senior supervision.
• Implement advanced tools such as Revit, BIM 360 and digital collaboration platforms to deliver precise, efficient and high-quality results.
• Support the development and application of global standards, design guides and best practices under the direction of senior team members.
• Promote design innovation, sustainability and compliance with relevant codes, standards and AECOM quality procedures.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture (required).
• 4+ years of progressive experience in architectural design, drafting and construction documentation.
• Proven involvement in building projects in infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams and contributing to large-scale projects.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level required); additional languages are an asset.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Architecture or a related field, and experience in data centers or industrial facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite and BIM tools.
• Ability to perform technical quality reviews and ensure deliverables meet established standards.
• Basic understanding of building codes, permitting processes and industry standards; knowledge of American standards is a plus.
