Senior Category Manager Travel Americas

About the role

The Senior Category Manager – Travel for the Americas will refine and implement local and sub‑regional travel category strategies. Working closely with DHL’s procurement teams, you will ensure the selection of best‑in‑class travel suppliers and build a seamless, state‑of‑the‑art business travel ecosystem for DHL travelers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing tenders and lead complex negotiations with regional, national and international travel suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with key travel providers, hotels and related service vendors.
• Develop and align a regional business travel category strategy based on market intelligence and business partner direction.
• Identify opportunities to improve the travel program, increase compliance with travel policies, and drive cost efficiencies.
• Analyse supply markets, vendor trends and compliance data to inform sourcing decisions.
• Implement regional sourcing strategies in line with corporate guidance and collaborate with country procurement teams.
• Coordinate with corporate sourcing and country management to optimise spend and support corporate initiatives.
• Drive regional standardisation of travel processes and provide ongoing support to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting sourcing tenders and leading negotiations with travel suppliers.
• Strong understanding of business travel market dynamics and supplier landscape.
• Ability to develop and execute category strategies based on market intelligence.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional procurement and business teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
