Senior Delivery Manager (Remote)

About the role

Five9, a provider of cloud contact center software, is hiring a Senior Delivery Manager for its Delivery Management team, working remotely. The team orchestrates the delivery and release of software with precision and agility, and the role manages and optimizes the end-to-end process of software delivery and release, ensuring releases are executed efficiently and risks are addressed proactively.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement release schedules and manage the release pipeline, coordinating development, QA, operations and support teams so each release is certified and delivered on time.
• Oversee the full release lifecycle, from planning and development through deployment and post-release support.
• Work with product management, engineering and stakeholders to prioritize content for releases and align them with business objectives.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks early and partner with the Delivery Management team and vertical teams on release process improvements.
• Act as main point of contact for stakeholders, communicating progress, blockers and risks, and reporting regularly on release status.
• Analyze each release, drive adoption of best practices, and establish and track KPIs such as release frequency, deployment success rates and post-release defect rates.
• Document and track production changes, oversee version control and configuration management, and optimize the release toolkit (e.g. Jira, GitLab, Launch Darkly).
• Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual intervention and increase speed and reliability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in both release and delivery management, including leading a release process improvement or change initiative that reduced risk, defects or delivery time.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments and resolving issues under pressure with little guidance.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and to manage expectations and negotiate timelines.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD and release management.

• Time management and ability to handle multiple releases at once.
