Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Monks is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and automation for client production systems. You will work within a delivery team, collaborating with engineers and clients to ensure reliable, observable, and repeatable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible with a cloud‑agnostic approach, primarily on AWS.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment processes.
• Set up monitoring, alerting and observability to keep systems highly available.
• Deploy and support AI services and pipelines in production environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate across the delivery team.

Required skills

• 5+ years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Strong experience with AWS.
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD tooling and scripting (Python, Bash or similar).
• Monitoring and observability practices.
