Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the TCO Agent Platform team. You will bridge cloud finance operations, accounting workflows, and AI‑driven cost governance while working with multi‑national teams on innovative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off on draft journal entry batches generated by automated agents, investigate exceptions and ensure proper reconciliation with the accounting system.
• Reconcile raw cloud billing data against provider invoices, apply credit amortization schedules and verify that credit allocations fully tie out.
• Manage allocation rules across 40+ cost centers, perform re‑classifications and keep operating expenses aligned with project budgets.
• Collaborate with Finance to run quarterly re‑forecasts, adjust workload growth models and monitor cloud spend against contractual commitments.
• Validate journal entry outputs line‑by‑line, compare legacy reports with new FOCUS‑normalized data during the dual‑system transition.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in Financial Analysis, Corporate Accounting, FinOps or Technology Business Management, preferably in a multi‑cloud enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost‑center allocation, month‑end close, credit amortization and SOX‑adjacent controls.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with platform owners, accountants, FinOps leads and engineering teams.

Required skills

• Java or Python scripting (plus understanding of automation logic).
• SQL (BigQuery preferred) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with cloud billing frameworks (AWS CUR, GCP Cloud Billing) and commitment instruments (CUDs, RIs, Savings Plans).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker Core Studio.
• Use of collaboration tools like Jira, Slack or Teams.
