Senior Fullstack AI Engineer

About the role

Softgic is looking for a Senior Fullstack AI Engineer in Medellin. The role combines hands-on AI solution development with full-stack engineering, data science and predictive modeling, and cloud and MLOps work. It also includes technical leadership, mentoring and clear communication with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and implement end-to-end, scalable AI solutions, and build, train and optimize machine learning and deep learning models while improving their performance, accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Develop and integrate backend and frontend components for AI-powered applications, design scalable and secure architectures, and ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.
• Analyze large datasets, prepare and cleanse data, and build predictive models and advanced analytics solutions.
• Deploy AI solutions on AWS, GCP or Azure, integrate models into cloud infrastructure and manage their deployment, monitoring and lifecycle in production.
• Lead AI initiatives, mentor engineers, research emerging AI technologies and document architectures and design decisions.

Required profile

• 6-7 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Extensive experience designing and developing artificial intelligence solutions.
• Proven experience building advanced predictive models and full-stack applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalable systems design, data structures and algorithms.

Required skills

• Advanced Python; strong Java or Scala.
• Machine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, scikit-learn.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and knowledge of cloud-based ML services.
