Senior HR Generalist – Employee Relations NAM

About the role

The Senior HR Generalist, Employee Relations is responsible for leading complex workplace investigations across the US and Canada, ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and union agreements. The role acts as a trusted advisor to leaders, promoting fair and legally sound outcomes while supporting a culture of respect and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including complaints, grievances, conflicts, misconduct concerns, and policy violations.
• Conduct thorough, objective investigations, gather facts, interview parties, assess documentation, and prepare findings with recommendations.
• Partner with HR, Legal, and business leadership to assess risk, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and support defensible decision‑making.
• Develop, review, and recommend updates to employee relations policies and procedures.
• Analyze trends, case data, exit interview feedback, and workplace issues to identify root causes and propose proactive solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner with a focus on Employee Relations, preferably in a multinational or Shared Services environment.
• Experience in the United States and/or Canada is essential.
• Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources or related field.
• Proficiency in English (B2+); French is preferred for Canadian operations.
