Staff Accountant

About the role

8am is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing team and support the month‑end close process for multiple entities. Reporting to the GL Accounting Manager, you will ensure accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end close functions, including journal entries and accruals.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and provide detailed analysis for cost‑center income statements.
• Support audits by preparing PBC schedules and documentation.
• Record cash transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and assist with prepaid and fixed‑asset accounting.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (Workday experience a plus).
