Tax Accounting Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Accounting Analyst to join our growing Accounting team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will ensure 8am remains compliant with sales, local, and payroll taxes while collaborating with Payroll and AP teams and liaising with U.S. tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Process tax notices, maintain records, and communicate with federal, state, and local tax authorities.
• Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and manage the tax compliance calendar.
• Prepare and file personal property tax returns and assist with California environmental fee workpapers.
• Review monthly sales tax returns, reconcile payable accounts, and upload reports to Avalara for use‑tax compliance.
• Partner with Payroll and AP teams on tax registrations and payments.
• Leverage AI tools to automate tax notice processing, research, and compliance tracking.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in tax or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, or related field; CPA or local equivalent preferred.
• High accuracy, strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience in client‑facing support and ability to work overlapping U.S. business hours.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to improve workflows.
