Accountant – English Proficiency

About the role

Marsh is looking for a talented accountant to join its finance team in Bogota. This hybrid position requires you to work on‑site at least three days a week and will involve managing a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including supplemental information required by clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with international clients, understanding their specific regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile cash and investment accounts, handle bank deposits and cash disbursements.
• Plan and execute annual audits, prepare regulatory filings and GAAP financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• CPA designation or enrollment preferred, or at least 1 year of relevant experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger work.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong spoken and written English proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory filing requirements.
• Experience with cash and investment account reconciliation.
