BIM Manager – Digital Water Plants

About the role

AECOM is seeking a BIM Manager – Digital for water plant projects in Bogotá. The role will lead BIM and information management strategies for complex international water infrastructure, ensuring effective digital collaboration and high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute BIM implementation strategies for international water plant projects.
• Establish and administer a Common Data Environment (CDE) to support multi‑stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate BIM execution and project delivery with project leadership.
• Create and maintain industry framework documents such as BEP, MIDP, MPDT and related appendices.
• Provide technical support, workflow integration, training and guidance to project teams.
• Oversee production of smart object content, templates and libraries, and deploy AECOM’s content management system (Autodesk Content Catalogue/UNIFI).
• Implement digital quality assurance and control procedures.
• Act as a global collaboration ambassador with regional teams and Enterprise Capabilities departments.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of BIM and digital delivery experience, including prior BIM Manager/Coordinator roles.
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.
• Experience delivering BIM data using Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley OpenPlant, Revit, Civil 3D or Advanced Steel.
• Proficiency with Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Bentley ProjectWise.
• Advanced use of coordination tools like Navisworks, Revizto or ACC Model Coordination.
• Strong background in 3D/2D modeling for water treatment and wastewater projects.
• Fluent English communication skills.
