Country Finance Manager – Innovative Medicine

About the role

The Country Finance Manager (CFM) Innovative Medicine leads the team responsible for delivering end‑to‑end financial services across the U.S. and Canadian markets. The role combines deep Accounting to Report (A2R) expertise with strategic Finance Business Partnering (FBP) to create value, maintain compliance, and enable informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, own trial balance, income‑statement and balance‑sheet reviews, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
• Maintain SOX compliance, support internal and external audits, and drive standardisation and process improvement using digital tools such as CFIN and SAP.
• Act as a strategic finance advisor to business units and senior leaders across the One Americas region, providing insights for planning, forecasting and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on business initiatives, M&A activities and strategic projects, identifying and executing value‑generating process improvements.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team in Latin America, foster a culture of curiosity and accountability, and champion DE&I and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Influence Global Services Finance and Business Unit organisations to align strategy, drive change and support technological transformation initiatives such as SigniFi.

Required profile

• Strong ability to lead through influence in matrixed, multicultural environments.
• Excellent English communication skills and fluency in Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
• Prior experience supporting the North America market is preferred.
• Proven business partnership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Adaptability to complex, changing environments and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Commitment to people development, DE&I and organisational growth.
