Delivery Director – Outsourced Software Engineering

About the role

Dev.Pro, a US-based outsourced software development company, is hiring a Delivery Director as a contractor to join its global team of IT professionals working remotely across 55+ countries. The role leads delivery operations for several major client accounts in FinTech, Retail and Hospitality, shapes and optimizes delivery processes, and fosters a strong, engaged team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery for major client accounts, ensuring high-quality, timely solutions and aligning with clients on project and program outcomes
• Monitor client satisfaction, manage escalations and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Propose process, tool and technology improvements and suggest new business or project ideas
• Take part in revenue and margin planning, organize workload planning and resource utilization, and align delivery costs with revenue plans
• Collaborate with CTO and Marketing on new technical capabilities and service offerings, and support Sales with presentations, proposals, pricing and contracts
• Launch new accounts, coordinate staffing and represent the company at client meetings, networking and industry events
• Ensure managers handle people issues, give feedback and develop careers, and coordinate with HR and Training on policies, compensation, bonuses and training

Required profile

• 10+ years of project and program management in software products or IT (application management)
• Experience managing 100-150+ people and $10-15M annual budgets
• 7+ years managing outsourced engineering or IT service delivery to external clients
• Experience hiring, developing and retaining technical and managerial talent
• Desirable: experience in Retail, Hospitality or FinTech, and certifications such as PMP, SAFe or ITIL

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SDLC and project management
• Operational management of delivery services to achieve CSAT and profitability
• Knowledge of delivery metrics (profitability, utilization, customer satisfaction, quality)
• Process design and optimization, pre-sales participation and financial management
• Desirable: cloud computing, data management, full-stack engineering and software product company experience
