Design Manager – Data Centers

About the role

Design Manager – Data Centers at AECOM will lead the design and delivery of colocation and hyper‑scale data center projects in Bogota, overseeing all phases from site due diligence to construction administration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead core and shell design projects, coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security and fire protection disciplines.
• Develop and enforce multi‑site project and program management plans, ensuring budget and schedule adherence.
• Manage design resources, conduct peer reviews, and maintain quality in line with client and AECOM standards.
• Host client and stakeholder meetings, communicate changes, and resolve scope issues throughout the design process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least eight years of data‑center design or project management experience.
• Proven leadership in data‑center or mission‑critical trade organizations.
• Fluent written and oral communication in Spanish and English.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, PMP certification, Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional.
