Investment Specialist (NPSA10) – Bogotá

About the role

The Investment Specialist will support the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in mobilising and catalysing capital flows for Sustainable Development Goal‑impactful investments in developing countries, with a focus on blended financing and investment readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted technical and financial advisory services on development‑oriented investments.
• Design bespoke financial structuring solutions, including grants, loans and guarantees.
• Undertake financial de‑risking of projects and enhance their investment readiness.
• Collaborate with private‑sector partners, UN agencies, international and local finance institutions, development finance institutions, foundations and philanthropy.
• Contribute to the development of local financial systems and new markets to crowd‑in public and private capital.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in development finance, blended financing or investment advisory.
• Understanding of the UN development agenda and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across public and private sectors.
