Java + Data Technical Leader

About the role

Talan is seeking an experienced Technical Leader to design, develop and deliver large‑scale data processing and streaming solutions. You will guide teams, shape architecture and ensure high‑performance distributed systems on modern cloud and big‑data technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of batch and real‑time data pipelines using Apache Spark and Kafka.
• Define architecture standards, best practices and secure, scalable APIs following OpenAPI specifications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor development teams through code reviews, technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct system analysis and drive optimization and reliability initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Java development within enterprise environments.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and complex software projects.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
