Risk & AI Manager - Remote

About the role

Feedzai, a Series D company protecting over 1 billion consumers and $9 trillion in annual payment volume against fraud, financial crime and money laundering, is hiring a Risk & AI Manager for its Customer Success organization. You will lead a cross-functional team of Risk Consultants, Data Scientists and Business Analysts working with large financial institutions and merchants to deliver optimized fraud strategies, machine learning models, risk logic and data insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of Risk Consultants, Data Scientists and Business Analysts across 6-8 active client projects
• Deliver fraud detection strategies, rules, models and analysis aligned with client goals and Feedzai's best practices
• Turn business objectives into data-driven solutions and technical action plans
• Guide the integration and validation of real-time and batch analytics into client environments
• Help the team identify misfit cases, scope performance improvements and recommend enhancements
• Work with Engineering, Product and Delivery on scope feasibility, performance requirements and long-term strategy
• Mentor the team, manage performance reviews and support professional development

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Statistics or another quantitative discipline
• Strong background in data science, fraud detection or real-time decision systems
• Experience managing technical teams in cross-functional delivery environments
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, translate between technical and business needs and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with clients and internal stakeholders
• Financial crime prevention experience (fraud, AML, risk strategy) highly valued

Required skills

• Machine learning, data analysis and scripting in Python or R
• Familiarity with big data platforms such as Spark, Hadoop or cloud-native data pipelines
