Senior Accountant – Professional Services Legal Entities

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Professional Services Finance team in Bogotá, supporting transactions and business activities across the United States and Canada. The role involves ownership of accounting and financial control for assigned legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of accounting activities for assigned legal entities, including revenue recognition, costs, accruals, provisions and other estimates.
• Lead month‑end close, prepare balance‑sheet and sub‑ledger reconciliations, and ensure timely delivery of transactions and adjustments.
• Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts and support cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Review and analyse financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with operational, commercial and finance stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and improve processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated accounting experience including month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accruals, provisions and reporting requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.
• Business‑level English to support US and Canadian businesses.
