Senior Structural Engineer – Data Centers

About the role

Join AECOM’s Bogotá office as a Senior Structural Engineer focused on data center facilities. You will lead the structural design of complex building projects, ensuring they meet high‑load, vibration, and redundancy requirements while adhering to AECOM’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structural design of buildings, including data centers, developing mathematical models, calculations and technical reports.
• Design concrete and steel systems for data centers, addressing high loads, vibration criteria, redundancy and constructability.
• Ensure all projects comply with AECOM’s quality management system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners such as architects, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience with concrete and steel design, preferably in data‑center projects.
• Proficiency in English (B2) and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
